State Bank of India customers can now easily update their contact address online, ensuring a hassle-free banking experience. Whether you're a tenant moving to a new city or simply relocating within the same city, it's important to keep your address updated in the bank records.

Please note that for security reasons, the option to change your address in SBI Bank Account Online is not available. To make this change, you will need to personally visit your home branch with the required documents for identification and new address proof. Additionally, don't forget to carry both the original documents and copies.

To begin the process, you'll need to write an application addressed to the Branch Manager, stating your old address as mentioned on your passbook and your request to update it with the new address details. Attach the necessary copies of your KYC documents, as per the bank's requirements.

Upon reaching the branch, request for the Address Updating Form and meticulously fill in the relevant sections, avoiding any errors. Attach the completed form, along with the aforementioned KYC documents, to your application.

You can expect to receive a notification regarding the status of your address update within 2-3 working days.

Upon receiving confirmation of the successful address update, visit the branch again and approach the Help Desk. Present your old passbook and request for a new one with the updated address printed on it. Additionally, don't forget to ask for a new cheque book along with the passbook.
