Haryana levies road taxes on all types of vehicles including private, passenger, new, old, transport, and non-transport vehicles. The taxes are calculated based on a wide range of criteria such as the age of the vehicle, place of origin, weight, size, engine capacity, etc.
Taxes can be levied as a percentage of the overall cost of the vehicle or as a fixed amount according to the specified criteria for each class of vehicle. The taxes are collected on a one-time basis, meaning that once your vehicle has paid the road tax, it can continue to operate on Haryana roadways throughout its lifespan without having to pay road taxes again.
