Follow these steps for an easy online Aadhaar link to LIC policy:
1. Open your web browser and visit LIC’s official website.
2. Locate the 'LIC Aadhaar Link' option and proceed.
3. After reading the instructions, click on 'Proceed.'
4. Fill in your details, including name, date of birth, PAN details, Aadhaar number, LIC policy number, etc.
5. Cross-check the details and submit the form.
6. Enter the captcha code and click on 'Get OTP.'
7. Receive the OTP on your registered mobile number, and enter it to complete the linking.
Once submitted, the information undergoes verification at UIDAI’s CIDR (Central Identities Data Repository). You'll receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile number upon successful linking.
Alternative Online Method:
If you're a registered user:
1. Sign in to your LIC account.
2. Click on 'Registered User' and update your Aadhaar details.
For new users:
1. Open the LIC portal and click on 'New User.'
2. Create a user ID and password.
3. Upload scanned images of your Aadhaar and PAN card.
4. Now, you can update your Aadhar details from your newly created account.
Process to Link Aadhaar with LIC Policy Offline:
If you prefer the offline mode, follow these steps:
1. Visit the nearest LIC office and obtain an Aadhaar linking mandate form.
2. Carry PAN, Aadhaar Card, Form 60, and necessary policy documents.
3. Self-attest the document copies and submit them with the form.
4. The LIC executive verifies the form and documents, and the process moves to UIDAI for further verification.
5. After verification, a confirmation message is sent to your mobile number.
Important Points:
- You can link lapsed policies to Aadhaar in case of defaults by stating your policy number in the offline Aadhaar mandate form.
