Introduction:
In order to facilitate seamless fund transfers between bank accounts, Punjab National Bank (PNB) provides the option to add beneficiaries to your online banking platform. This allows customers to effortlessly transfer funds to their friends, family, or business connections.
PNB, with its extensive network of over 6,900 branches and 9,500 ATM booths across India, serves as a reliable financial institution for over 80 million bank account holders.
To add a beneficiary to your PNB bank account, follow these simple steps on the online platform:
1. Access the PNB online banking platform through the retail user or corporate user button on the website www.netpnb.com. The retail user option is suitable for normal savings accounts, while the corporate user option is designed for business accounts. Select the appropriate button based on your account type.
2. Enter your user ID and password to securely log in to the Punjab National Bank online platform.
3. Take extra care while entering your password, as multiple incorrect attempts may lead to login issues.
4. Locate the "Transactions" link and click on "Manage Beneficiary" from the dropdown menu.
5. Among the options provided—'Add NEFT Payee', 'Add within PNB', and 'Add RTGS Payee'—select the second option if you are adding a beneficiary with a PNB account. The other two options cater to beneficiaries without PNB accounts. For this example, we will choose 'Add NEFT Payee'.
6. Once selected, click on 'Ok'.
7. On the next page, provide the beneficiary's account number and a nickname.
8. Validate the account and choose whether you want to provide Global or Local access.
9. Enter the IFSC code of the beneficiary's bank branch.
10. Define transaction limits on the same screen and ensure added security by entering a transaction password. Click the "submit" button to proceed.
11. Confirm the beneficiary from the provided list by ticking the relevant box and clicking the "confirm" button. To finalize the process, an OTP (one-time password) will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to confirm the beneficiary.
With these simple steps, you have successfully added a beneficiary to your PNB bank account. Now, you can easily transfer funds to other banks in India using the methods outlined in this article.
In conclusion, PNB account holders can effortlessly add PNB or non-PNB beneficiaries to their bank accounts, streamlining the process of fund transfers.
